About The DCH Foundation

The DCH Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that supports the work of the DCH Health System by helping to fund new technological advancements, expanded services, patient assistance programs and education programs that would not otherwise be possible. Through philanthropic activities that propel a spirit of giving and a shared sense of purpose, the DCH Foundation encourages community members to invest in one another, moving health care forward for all.

We can’t thank you enough for your contributions towards providing high-quality, community-based health care services to the people of West Alabama.

The DCH Breast Cancer Fund

In addition to the many women we have been able to help this year with mammograms and testing, our new Patient Navigator has helped 200 women this year through their treatment. We are thankful for the community’s support of The DCH Breast Cancer Fund – with you, we are able to help so many here in West Alabama.

Help and Hope Patient Assistance Fund

This fund helps our Manderson Cancer Center patients with financial difficulties as they are undergoing treatment. It helps with household bills, medications, transportation to and from treatment, and more. We have this fund only because of the generosity of kind people in our community who recognize 1) the importance of giving back and 2) the fact that every single dollar helps to make a difference in the lives of those in need in West Alabama.

The Finn & Quinley Infant and Children's Fund

Finn and Quinley McInerney were born in August of 2004 – Finn was a little redheaded boy, and Quinley a tiny blonde girl. They were 15 weeks premature and only survived for a week, but the twins’ short lives were still miracles.

Danielle and Michael McInerney started the Finn and Quinley Memorial Foundation while making the twins’ final arrangements. They chose to benefit the DCH Regional and Northport Medical Centers’ neonatal intensive care units and their patients. Generous donations came flowing in and Danielle began putting that money to work on behalf of DCH’s tiniest patients.

In 2012, Danielle came to The DCH Foundation with the realization that together, they could do more. So once again, Danielle and Michael entrusted the care of their babies – This time their legacy to DCH.

Please join us in continuing to meet the needs for the NICUs of the DCH Health System by supporting The Finn & Quinley Infant and Children’s Fund.

What Happens When We Give?

Since 2013, donations by we give participants have been used to assist in funding more than $300,000 in DCH Patient Impact Grants. A total of 41 projects have been funded since the implementation of we give

It is very important that we create and support a culture within the DCH Health System that encourages the DCH family to consider the hospital when making charitable donation decisions. As a major part of the nonprofit fabric in our region, DCH serves the uninsured and underinsured, as well as those with insurance. DCH is committed to maintaining high quality staff, programs, services, facilities, and equipment. To meet these high standards in the face of an increasingly difficult economic climate, philanthropic support from the entire region is essential to achieving the health system’s mission.

The DCH family has many options when choosing charitable activities to support. The we give program provides a formal process and option to include DCH in their charitable giving opportunities.
