Since its founding in September of 1973, The DCH Foundation has received donations through a variety of sources, including individuals, foundations and corporations. Some give in memory of a friend or family member, or to express gratitude for care received. Many simply want to have an impact on the quality of local health care for friends and neighbors. In all cases, our donors know their gift supports the mission for the DCH Health System, which is to provide the best possible healthcare to the residents of West Alabama.
Over the years, approximately 150 community leaders have given their time, talent, and treasure through their service on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Thousands more have made the Foundation strong through their financial support of its many initiatives, including events like Nite on the Green, BBQ and Blue Jeans, and the Lucy Jordan Ball. The Help and Hope Cancer Center Capital Campaign forever transformed cancer care in our community through its support of the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.
We are blessed, not only by the beauty of our surroundings, but also by the generosity of those who call it home. Because of your giving, the health system has brought key technology acquisitions, outreach for early disease detection and facility expansion projects to our community. Such investments are helping us to fulfill our promise of an innovative regional health system with a broad scope of services that deliver a continuum of care.
As the operating climate becomes increasingly challenging for health care providers, philanthropic giving is essential to our ability to grow and improve service quality and offerings. We thank the community- minded individuals who have embraced our vision of comprehensive, quality health care, and we ask for your continued support. While much has been accomplished, there is still so much more to do.
The gift you make through the DCH Foundation will enrich the lives of others for generations to come.
